On Your Own Time Activities K-5

In addition to reading and logging in your books, do as many of these on your own activities, too.   For each one below, please take a picture and write a description. Send these in an email to denise.lester@westwood.bccls.org.  Your entries will entitle you to a raffle ticket towards a prize.  What's the prize, you ask?
On Your Own One
Family Game Night

Pick a game to play with your family. Take a picture and write a short description of how the game went.  Who played? Was it fun? Who won?
On Your Own Two
Read Together Hour

Gather friends or family members and sit down to read for an hour. Take a picture and write a description of the event.  What time/day did you choose? Who participated? What was everyone reading? Did you have discussion?
On Your Own Three
Westwood Fun

Take a picture and write a description of a time you had with a group of friends or family doing something in Westwood.  Did you go to a concert in the park? One of the playgrounds? Shopping.  Who went and what did you do? Did you learn anything new about Weswtood?

On Your Own Four
The Arts!

Take a picture and write a description of a time you had with a group of friends or family members where you were creating something--drawing together, chalking up the driveway, knitting or crocheting? playing music together?  Tell us all about it.
On Your Own Five
All About Sports

Take a picture and write a description of a time you had playing sports with a group of friends or family members.  Maybe you went swimming? Played badminton or tennis? Soccer or bocce ball?  Tell us all about it. Who won, who was on your team.
On Your Own Six
At the Library

Take a picture and describe a time with a group of friends or family when you were all at the Library. Maybe you came for a program? Maybe you came to take out books or the metal detector?  Did anyone help you when you visited?  Did you check out any books?
