Wednesday, August 12th  7 pm - 8 pm   Safe Harbour by Christina Kilbourne   available on Hoopla and Libby with your library card.

Dad's plan seemed to make sense, Harbour will camp out in Toronto alone until he can bring the sailboat up from Florida. It will only be a month or two, and it is summer. Sounds like a great adventure. But Harbour is only 14 years old, and doesn't see a problem with a teen hiding in the woods by herself for an extended period of time. She has an emergency credit card, her phone, rations for 2 months and her dog, what could go wrong? As winter approaches, she meets Lise, a homeless girl who helps her navigate the streets and shelter system as they wait for word from Harbour's father. A story of adventure, friendship and family with a happy ending. REGISTER HERE.
