2018 March to the Oscars
The annual March to the Oscars starts in February! Join us as we screen films nominated for a 2018 Academy Award. Films so far include:
Boss Baby - Tuesday February 20th at 2 pm (best animated)
Call Me By Your Name--Tuesday, February 27 at 7pm (best picture, best actor)
Coco--Saturday, March 3 at 1:30pm (best animated)
Tuesday March 6th at 7 pm - CloudLibrary app for downloadable ebooks and audiobooks. Learn how to use this valuable app for Apple products, Androids and tablets. Feel free to bring your own device fully charged. Registration required.
Basic Computer Classes - Fridays April 13th, 20th & 27th at 11:30 am. Need help with email or internet searching? Join us for a basic skills class that will focus on attendees needs.

Mayors Wellness Cookbook Club
The Library is starting a new club this year, the Mayors Wellness Cookbook Club. With a focus on healthy eating, the club will meet quarterly to discuss and share recipes from selected cookbooks. First meeting is Thursday March 15, 2018 at 7pm to explore ZAHAV: a world of Israeli Cooking by Micheal Solomonov. Copies of the book will be available at the Library starting February 10. Interested participants should plan to prepare and share a dish from the cookbook at the first meeting. Please register for this event at right.
Ireland Tea, Food and Folklore
Join us Sunday, March 11th at 2 pm for a program about the Emerald Isle, presented by Judith Krall-Russo, food historian and certified tea specialist. Ireland is known for its hearty and filling foods, pubs, scones and tea cakes. The people are friendly and known for their hospitality and their passion for strong black tea. Come by and learn about these topics and enjoy some Irish folklore! Please register.
Irish Music & Dance
Sunday, March 18 at 3pm , Sharlys Dugan will present a harp and tin whistle performance. But there will also be Irish step dancing, storytelling and singalongs as well as a final audience participation dance of an Irish jig.
Formerly a member of Dugan's Hooligans, Ms. Dugan has been performing for more than a decade and this will be a fun, don't miss event. Program is free and open to all ages.
2nd Annual Senior Birthday
We had such a good time last year, we doing it again. If you are turning 80 or older, please join us for our recognition birthday party. There'll be cake and some very fun entertainment.
